Good question, why do they do that? Ran a couple of different programs to create DXF files. Why/how is it that other programs interpet the dxf differently than how vcarve does?. The only work around for us is to take same file and send it flexi, let flexi clean it up and then send the dxf to the waterjet. Of course this is a problem, is there a reason why this is happening and is there a way to clean it up (enroute for example has a clean up file feature that will clean up the file with a click)? If I open a dxf file, I cannot utilize the "selector" feature in any of the toolpath options so that I can select any or all circles.Īs far as exporting dxf, when you open the file elsewhere (we can only send dxf to the waterjet) lines are missing (one side of a square might be missing for example). For example, a circle should have 4 points (check via node editing mode) but when I open a dxf it shows at least 8 points and as many as where it is a dotted mess. When the same file is a dxf file, there are many more points added to the lines. If I import a file that is not dxf (eps, ai, pdf) I have no problems at all. ![]() ![]() Good day all, I have been having issues with how vcarve pro is reading and exporting dxf files.
